106th NAMM SHOW

The annual NAMM Show opens Jan. 17, 2008, at the Anaheim Convention Center and runs until Jan. 20. The trade-only show brings together NAMM Member music products manufacturers and retailers to conduct major business transactions for the year ahead.

Last year, the industry’s largest annual event in the United States drew 1,535 music products manufacturers from around the world that filled every square inch of the Anaheim Convention Center with the latest innovations in musical instruments. The event offers music products manufacturers the chance to display thousands of new products, ranging from string, percussion and band instruments to pianos, music accessories, pro audio, lighting and computer-based music making equipment.

And there are no shortage of retailers, businesses big and small, that attend the show to see all the latest products and equipment.

At show close last year, NAMM reported a four percent increase in overall registration from the previous year for a grand total of 84,695 registrants.

In addition, the show attracts music products retailers and manufacturers to attend valuable professional development sessions and network with their peers.

Themed “Define Your Future,” the event is slated to offer industry members a chance to shape their individual show experience through educational sessions and networking opportunities.

Attendees can also experience unparalleled NAMM Show-related performances by artists of every genre and a wide array of after-show-hours activities around the convention area throughout the weekend.

After the annual NAMM Show, NAMM reinvests the revenue to fund programs, activities and initiatives designed to stimulate demand for music products; and provide valuable services to help its Members succeed. This "circle of benefits" model allows NAMM to work toward its mission of unifying, leading and strengthening the global music products industry and increasing active participation in music making.
