Adopting a Miniature Schnauzer Puppy Bronx NY

alone? Before buying a puppy have you considered rescuing a miniature schnauzer who desperately needs a loving home?

Are you willing to thoroughly puppy proof your home? such askeep poisonous plants, electrical cords, cat food, shoes, children's toys out of puppys reach? How much socialization and training do you think a miniature schnauzer needs to become a well balanced dog that you can comfortably take out to visit strange places, homes, crowds, people, children, and other dogs?
 
Do you have a fully fenced yard? Can a tiny puppy dig under? Did you know the  # 1 cause of death in dogs is getting hit by a car? Is your yard clear of dangerous plants, pesticides, slug bait, Etc.? The life span of a mini is 12-15 years are you able to commit to  caring for the dog for its entire lifetime even if unexpected things happen such as relocating for a new job, divorce, canine Behavior problems, expensive vet bills? Did you know that early socialization means exposing your dog to as many different types of environments, situations, people, animals, sights, and sounds as you can, taking the puppy to the park, to other homes, into crowded loud areas, letting strangers and children pet and play with your dog. Etc.?

Did you know a Miniature Schnauzer has a high prey drive and should NEVER be off a leash in an unfenced area?
