However, insolvency does not condemn you to a life where you cannot get access to credit facilities. In fact, you can go ahead and get a loan for buying a car, a house or other personal loans you might need.

You may need time to recover from the shock of dealing with bankruptcy. In the mean time, you need to work on rebuilding your credit and image. Some credit firms will require you to have a clean record of payments for not less than two years after being discharged from insolvency. This gives you perfect opportunity for you to open a new account and work on keeping the records clean. This will earn you good ratings in your credit worth and will impress your creditors.

Establish what the real problem was that led you to insolvency. Once you point a finger at it, go ahead and get the loan but be sure to avoid the same pitfalls. For example, if your problem was postponing payment, be sure to be on time this time round. Remain committed to making payments regardless of other financial commitments.
