EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AWARDS

DESCRIPTION: Excellence in Education is a hallmark program of the Chamber of Commerce. Quality education has a significant impact on our ability to attract and retain quality employees and contributes to our high quality of life in Anne Arundel County. This event recognizes outstanding educations in both the public and private school systems as well as recognizes businesses who partner with their local schools. Over 500 business and educational officials attend the dinner each year including many of our local elected officials, Board of Education members, and business leaders from throughout Anne Arundel County.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

DESCRIPTION: The Annual Golf Classic is one of the area’s premier golf outings. The event consistently provides a first class experience for everyone in attendance of the outing. Highlights of the event include:

HALL OF FAME & ANNUAL BUSINESS AWARDS

DESCRIPTION: This annual event honors outstanding nominees as well as awards a winner in each of several categories, including: Developer of the Year, Business Leader of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Community Outreach, National Achievement, and Non-Profit of the Year and Small Business of the Year. The evening will be highlighted by the induction of several well-known, recognized and respected community business leaders into the Hall of Fame.

BUSINESS SHOWCASE AND ECONOMIC LOOKOUT SUMMIT

DESCRIPTION: This day long event offers attendees the opportunity to network, showcase their products and services, as well as get the latest information on economic data in the region. Begin the day with a Business Build Breakfast (7:45 – 9:30 AM) and then visit over 60 showcase booths. Attend the Economic Outlook Summit Luncheon (11:30 – 1:00 PM) to hear the featured guest speaker provide updates on economic information affecting businesses in the region.

HOLIDAY MIXER-SILENT AND LIVE AUCTION

DESCRIPTION: A holiday favorite for hundreds of local business leaders. Enjoy the beautiful holiday setting provided by Homestead Gardens while sampling signature dishes from over a dozen local caterers and restaurants. Attendees have the opportunity to get started on their holiday shopping with nearly 200 silent and live auction items.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

DESCRIPTION: Celebrating local business leaders and local business excellence. Join the Chambers Board of Directors and county’s business leaders to celebrate this time honored tradition. We’ll address the past year’s performance and unveil plans for the forthcoming year.

LEGISLATIVE BREAKFAST

DESCRIPTION: This annual event offers attendees the opportunity to meet and ask questions of their elected officials. Elected officials offer an overview of issues and concerns for the forthcoming legislative season. The Government Matters Agenda is revealed and an overview of issues the Chamber will take a position on is discussed.
