Baby Clothing Phoenix AZ

Michael and Uli Belenky were no different than any other parent when they created the Zutano line of clothing for children. Their first baby girl inspired them to create clothing that took style out of the normal range of pinks and blues into another dimension of warm earth tones.

Having a baby makes such a difference in a parent's life. The mom and dad who have this new bundle of joy experience all sorts of new feelings after the baby arrives. Michael and Uli Belenky were no different than any other parent when they created the Zutano line of clothing for children. Their first baby girl inspired them to create clothing that took style out of the normal range of pinks and blues into another dimension of warm earth tones. Both of these wonderful people were talented artistic people who loved their child so much they wanted the best for her and wanted to spread this love to others.

Soft And Comfortable

Soft comfortable clothing is the whole idea behind Zutano apparel for children. In 1989, the New York City baby clothing choices were scarce and not very stylish. Michael and Uli could not stand by and watch the market continue down the same mundane road it was on. Zutano innovated children's clothing designs and two years later, moved out of their Greenwich Village apartment and into a lovely vintage farmhouse in Vermont. They are still here today and going strong even after almost 13 years in business.

Handmade And Modern

Uli started her creations with a simple sewing machine right in her home. She chose fabric swatches from regular material and began her creative journey to Zutano. The apartment was the birth place that saw the prototypes for the clothing lines they offer now. Once the first production was up and running, the popularity and orders started pouring in. Michael began delivering to boutiques and specialty stores around the city on a simple bicycle. Famous celebrities were the first customers to adorn their babies with these amazing hats, jackets, leggings, and overalls. The Baby Basics line was born pushing the pinks and blues out of the way and bringing in new colors that were not found before.

Moving Out Of Town

The Zutano clothing company moved from their small apartment into a large farmhouse in Cabot Vermont. This location was near to Michael's hometown and where they chose to raise their daughters. They wanted an organic place to be the home of their vision for natural clothing. Rural serenity was found here as the multitudes of new patterns and designs emerged into more lines to choose from. Two years after the first stitch was set by Uli, Zutano clothing was on the move and growing in a healthy way.

Free To Be Natural

This wonderfully organic setting in Vermont set the stage for the Zutano Company to build a reputation of customer service and beautiful clothing. The company was allowed to expand naturally without worrying about the pressure to grow and mass produce their lines. Zutano children's apparel is meant to be independent and free for the child to express their individual personality. The company wanted to do the same. The two special people who had cared for their daughter so long ago still care for the many babies them cloth in style today.
