Luxury Summit 2008: an Inside Look at Luxury Consumerism

In the luxury market today, what separates the truly wealthy from the merely well-off is changing dramatically. With traditional luxury – from fashion to food - being sold to the masses, increasing numbers of affluent Americans are embracing a new definition of wealth.

This shift in consumer preferences and attitudes is the focus of the upcoming Luxury Summit 2008 on March 4, 2008. The event will offer insight into the latest trends, forecasts and data in luxury consumerism (including luxury retail, hospitality, travel and more), and feature a panel discussion by internationally known experts.

The Summit will be held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, the luxury capital of the United States, and is expected to attract more than 500 participants, ranging from investors and financiers to retail executives, bankers and other industry professionals. The program will provide valuable and usable information from top-level executives and strategists.

A panel consisting of known experts in the luxury market will be moderated by Donald Straszheim, Vice Chairman, Roth Capital Partners, LLC. He is sure to lead a fascinating and substantive discussion.

The 2008 Beverly Hills Golf Classic will be held at the Wilshire Country Club, also known as Southern California's historic “golf gem.” Founded in 1919, the country club is most noted for a natural stream running throughout, giving the course its unmistakable character and challenge.

The golf tournament features 18 holes at the Wilshire Country Club; various on-course and hole-in-one contests; catered breakfast and lunch; cocktail reception and silent auction; awards, prizes and a gourmet dinner.
