Description:
Over the past eleven years the International Ballet Festival of Miami (IBFM) has brought to the stage hundreds of talented principal dancers representing the best companies from around the world. IBFM offers the community a unique chance to share in a celebration of dance, creating a buzz and generating excitement for our dedicated audiences of over 10,000 and students of dance, the future bearers of the torch. Under the resilient direction of Pedro Pablo Pe?a and his unwavering right-hand man Eriberto Jimenez, Director Assistant, the Festival has become a Fall staple on the South Florida dance calendar with six spectacular performances at four theaters in three cities. Collateral activities include Dance Films, official IBFM poster unveiling a fine arts competition inspired by the dance and dancing in the street at the Ardex Gallery, workshops, master classes and the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award presented at the Grand Classical Gala of the Stars to be presented this year Roland Petit. The IBFM?s continuing success is a testament to the genuine need our community has for an event of this magnitude, one forged and nourished in the very diversity and multiplicity that defines our city.
