BIR NATIONAL-WSPA NATIONAL SNOCROSS RACE
DATE: March 8, 2008 - March 9, 2008
LOCATION: Brainerd International Raceway
DESCRIPTION:
Hosted by Brainerd International Raceway, the BIR National is a chance for fans to see some of the top professional snocross racers in the country, like Longville’s Levi LaVallee, who finished fourth in the Pro Open class last year, and Lakeshore's Dan Ebert, who won the Semi-Pro Stock class last year. They will be among more than 200 riders who will compete on BIR’s half-mile track, which will feature tight turns, banked corners and a variety of bumps that allow racers to catch big air for spectators. BIR has snow-making equipment, which guarantees plenty of snow for this event.

POLAR BEAR PLUNGE-BREEZY BEAR RANCH

Take the plunge or sponsor a plunger Prizes for Best Male Costume, Best Female Costume, and Best Team Costumes. Registration materials are available at the Brainerd and Baxter Police Departments and The Brainerd Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce at the Welcome Center.
Registration starts at 10 am, with the costume contest starting at Noon. The plunge itself will begin at 1 pm.

WHITEFISH AREA LIONS EASTER EGEG HUNT
DATE: March 22, 2008
TIME: 10:00 AM
Event DescriptionThe Children’s Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Corps of Engineers Campground Park Crosslake Dam. Age limit is 10 years old. There will be a goodie bag for each child! The Easter Bunny will be there too, so bring your camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny! This event is sponsored by the Whitefish Area Lions Club and there will be a couple hundred plastic eggs hidden and two special eggs hidden. The children are instructed to find at least one egg and bring it to the Easter Bunny who will give them a goodie bag. The two lucky children who find one of the special eggs will receive an extra special gift basket. If there are any businesses that would like to donate goodies or coupons for the kids please let me know and we will add your business name to our promotional materials.
