1. Decide on the shower's theme. Once you select a theme, the rest will easily fall into place. To choose a theme, have a discussion among all of those who are sharing in the hosting duties. In most cases, the bridal party or the bride's closest female family members will host. If the shower falls on or near a holiday, use that holiday as the party's theme. For instance, party stores not only have many ready-made favor options, they also offer options for building your own favors. The Internet is a wonderful tool for garnering favor ideas. List your favorites and the prices for each. Compile a list of favor ideas, preferably with pictures to show to all of the decision-makers. Keep in mind favors should match the shower's décor and theme. For instance, if you will be sending your guests home with candle wedding shower favors, and you've chosen a black and white theme, the candles should be black and white as well.
