Have you ever taken a Buenos Aires vacation in Argentina? No? Well, get ready to pack your bags. We ll take a letter trip to get you warmed up so you can book your next destination to the beautiful city of Buenos Aires!

Argentina has had a rough time establishing its economy, but its history is rich and plentiful. As the capital city of Argentina, Buenos Aires is also the largest city in Argentina. Argentina s history boasts rulers such as Juan Domingo Peron and his wife Evita Peron. During their reign, the working conditions of Argentina began to improve; but once WWII started and world economics started changing, things in Argentina started to become more unstable. After their deaths, Argentina found itself under military rule again. In the mid 1970 s Argentina fell into what was known as the Dirty War where it was dangerous for citizens to disagree with the rules of the government. This ended in 1983 and by 2002 Argentina s economy started recovering. Today, Argentina is making a name for itself as one of the hottest tourism spots in the world. Their food and culture draw people from all over to sample a taste of their culture for very inexpensively since the pesos is at a 3:1 ratio with the American dollar.

If you are entering Argentina you will need a passport. There are no specific vaccinations needed and the ones you have received in the U.S. or Europe should suffice. You will want to exchange money before entering the country as this will make it much smoother to do transactions. Make sure you specify you want Argentine pesos, though.

Now you re off for a Buenos Aires vacation. What is there to actually see? Well, Buenos Aires is one of those truly romantic cities. Tango is one of the most popular dances, as you may see people in the streets dancing. It is one of the most popular tourist pastimes and is surely a must do. You can get lessons, or if you just want to watch it, make sure you see the Tango Show at the Carlos Gardel Theatre, along with your dinner.

If you like tea, try Mate. It is an herbal tea high in caffeine and very popular, being sold everywhere. It is considered an acquired taste, but most all Argentines partake of this communal tea.

If you like futbol, or what we call soccer in America, you will definitely be at home. Games and discussions of games are populated all over Argentina.

People are generally out around three or four in the morning at clubs. It is very common to have a siesta or nap around seven in the evening, then have supper or dinner at about eleven. The shopping is very trendy. People of all ages are very conscious of how they look, so shopping is essential and it isn t uncommon to see people decked out and looking great at all times.
