1. Where to shop? You can go to a bridal shop where they will have gowns just for moms, but don't discount department stores and specialty dress shops. Look around before you make your final decision. You never know where you'll find the gown of your dreams!

Keep in mind the general rule of wedding colors, which is lighter colors for spring and summer, and deeper colors for fall and winter.
   
   
4. If your daughter is having a smaller and more casual wedding and she is wearing a simple dress, then follow suit with a less elaborate gown. Consider short sleeves and a simple style. If the wedding is more formal, then a rhinestone-studded dress will fit right in.
