Are you unhappy with your calves? Have you worked out and worked out and just can't seem to get the desired results that you want? Or maybe you have a congenital defect that affects your calves, no matter what your reasoning, calf implants can correct your problem and enhance your legs by providing fullness and the look of muscle toneness.

The Procedure

For calf implants, your legs will be measured so that the appropriately sized implants can be prepared. You will be placed under general anesthesia and turned onto your stomach on the operating room table. Your cosmetic surgeon will make a small incision in the creases behind your knee. A pocket is created between the fibrous covering of the muscle and the muscle itself. The pocket is made large enough for the implant to be slipped in.

Once the pocket is made, the implant is gently inserted, if two implants are require, then the procedure is repeated so that the second implant can be inserted. After examining your leg, if everything looks good, your surgeon will stitch the incision closed.

Some possible risks:

• Bleeding

• Infection

• The incision site may separate

• You may not be happy with your results

• Deep vein thrombosis

• A pulmonary embolism
