Cary Chamber of Commerce’s Upcoming Events

The Cary Chamber of Commerce and Wake Tech Business & Industry Center are teaming up to not only assist in the “for profit” sector, but is also offering special programs to help not-for-profit organizations. For all of you interested in how to make to make the most out writing grant proposals take advantage of this valuable opportunity. Wake Tech Business & Industry Center in cooperation with The Grants Information Network of North Carolina is offering a workshop on grant writing for government and non profits. This workshop will consist of an in-depth review of the grant writing process. Some of the subjects that will be covered include funding sources, creating an effective problem statement, realistic objectives, evaluation plan, block versus discretionary grants, credibility statement and post award issues. The workshop will be held December 6th and 7th at the Western Wake Tech Campus at Millpond village, 3434 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC. The seminar hours are from 9 a.m – 4 p.m. and the cost is $55.

Notary Public Education will be offered at the Chamber on Thursday, December 13 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to save your company time and money by having your own Notary Public in office. The cost is $99 and includes the book, but does not include certification fee or notary stamp.

A great way to spend your evening is to join the Cary Chamber for Business After Hours, sponsored by Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic. This is an evening of food, networking and fun! Another great way to meet other members is Business of Women, a monthly lunch series at Prestonwood Country Club. This month’s luncheon will be held on Thursday, December 20 at Noon.
