Chili's Grill and Bar

Chili’s Grill and Bar, which tells customers to “Pepper in some fun” is a casual dining restaurant and serves American food with an influence by Tex-Mex cuisine. It provides customers with a diverse but affordable menu containing different appetizers, various main courses, desserts and even specialty drinks. Customers looking for an informal yet full and satisfying meal can come sit in any Chili’s location and enjoy the sights of the Southwest style décor along with the delicious tastes of the food they provide. Chili’s employs very friendly hostesses, waiters and bartenders to guarantee a very peaceful and worry free dining experience.

Customers who choose to dine in one of the Chili’s locations are offered a large menu that contains chicken, seafood, meat and salad dishes. The variety is so wide that patrons can order a traditional American meal like the “Oldtimer” burger which is a simple hamburger with mustard, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions or they can dive into a more exciting meal like the “Citrus Fire Chicken and Shrimp” which is Chili’s citrus Margarita Grilled Chicken topped with a spicy garlic and lime shrimp with a side of pico de gallo. This dish is served with sizzling onions, bell peppers and chumichurri sauce, which is simply cilantro, garlic and lime. With either meal choice, Chili’s customers are guaranteed their meals to be hot, fresh and delicious each time. The Chili’s menu also includes appetizers called Southwestern Eggrolls, Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Fried Cheese and Boneless Buffalo Wings and specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like Chillin’ Fruit Freezers, El Nino Margarita and the Blue Pacific Margarita. Desserts include Molten Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie and a simple slice of Cheesecake. If customers wish, they can check out a full Chili’s menu with prices listed by visiting the company website at, www.chilis.com.

Chili’s proves to be a restaurant for all ages with an adult friendly menu as well as a kid’s menu for children under the age of 12 and a party platter menu for larger groups that come in to eat at the restaurant.

Chili’s was founded by Larry Levine when he wanted to implement a concept that created an informal but full-service dining restaurant. To put his ideas into play, Larry bought a postal station and converted it to build the first Chili’s location. It officially opened on March 13, 1975 in Dallas, Texas. After a few years, the restaurant proved to be successful and Mr. Levine decided to add 22 more Chili’s locations around the same area. A few years after these locations were added, Levine decided to the sell the company to its current owner, Norman E. Brinker of Brinker International. Chili’s has grown into a backyard name. With over 1,000 restaurant locations in 50 US States, Chili’s has also expanded globally, with 23 international locations, including Saudi Arabia, Australia, Mexico, the UK, Venezuela and within a few months, Guam.

Chili’s is also a proud supporter of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the fight against childhood cancer. Customers can help this cause when they dine at any Chili’s location in three different ways. The “Create-a-Pepper” process allows customers to purchase a Chili’s pepper coloring sheet for $1, color it in and have their design hung around the restaurant. Also, customers can purchase a Create-a-Pepper T-shirt for $12 or a Dog Tag/Key Chain for $6 from the Chili’s Create-a-Pepper online store at www.createapepper.net, as long as supplies last. Lastly, when customers purchase Chili’s Create-a-Pepper gift card, for every $25 purchased on the card, $1 will be donated. Along with St. Jude’s, Chili’s makes significant contributions to the Limbs for Life Foundation and to the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Chili’s top competition includes: Applebee’s, Denny’s, The Cheesecake Factory and Panera Bread.

Just recently, Chili’s launched their Radio Network. Chili’s Radio can be accessed and streamed live through any computer. Customers can check out new artists, great hits and current contemporary music that is sure to “Pepper in Some Fun” throughout the day for listeners. Potential listeners can log on to listen to Chili’s Radio by visiting their section on the company website at www.chilis.com/fun.

Chili’s also encourages customers to take part in their free email club in order to get in on the latest and greatest happenings. This can be done by filling out the simple information form that can be found on Chili’s official website.
