Colored Caulking Great Bend KS

When I installed the cabinets for the bar area I used a matching skin panel on the back side of the bar to match the cabinetry. Unfortunately the panel was only 8 feet long and the space was about 8 feet plus 1/4 inch. So when I installed the panel I held it tight to one end and the result is the very visible gap that you see in the photo (white line).I've been procrastinating on fixing this issue (almost 2-1/2 years!) until last weekend when I finally had an idea. Why not fill the gap with colored caulking. Today you can buy colored caulking. I bought Dap #18120 10.1OZ Brown Latex Caulk which matches our dark cabinets fairly well. It's really important to buy a decent caulking gun. They really are reasonably priced and you'll only need to buy it once if you buy a good one. I'd recommend the Industrial Skeleton Caulk Gun.The caulking is paintable when it dries. So I filled the gap with the Dap Brown Latex Caulk and let it dry. Once it dried I used a Minwax Red Mahogany Stain Marker to finish it off.As you can see in the photo the gap blends in much better. Finally I can stop walking past the bar cabinets and not notice that glaring gap!Now if you want to get a more perfect color match then you need to buy the Red Devil 4070 Create A Color Caulk Mixer. With the the Red Devil Color Caulk Mixer you can match any paint color to create a perfect match.
