NASA's Cassini spacecraft is the first to explore the Saturn system of rings and moons from orbit, arriving there in 2004. Less than a year later, the European Space Agency's Huygens probe drove into Titan's thick atmosphere. The sophisticated instruments on both spacecraft are providing international scientist with vital data and the best views ever of this vast, mysterious region of our solar system. In celebration of the International Year of Astronomy, NASA Outreach Specialist Jane Houston Jones will share insight into the Cassini- Huygens Mission and NASA's celebration of astronomy. The word "lyceum" has roots in ancient Greek, and became the name of the school where Aristotle taught. It is used to describe this lecture series that features national speakers who stimulate the heart and mind with compelling stories of our natural and cultural world.
