Eyebrow Threading Albuquerque NM

Ever wanted perfect eyebrows? Threading your eyebrows provides an easy way to perfect your look at home. Threading has been used for centuries in the Middle East, and is gaining popularity worldwide. It is preformed using a thin thread of twisted cotton, which is rolled over the hair to remove it at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, threading can remove many hairs at a time, resulting in a straighter line.

Threading is a great alternative for those with sensitive skin, as the cotton is hypoallergenic. It is an easy skill to learn, and using the steps outlined below, you can have those salon-perfect eyebrows at home.

Before you begin, make sure you have the materials you will need. Your thread should be about 14 inches long, and you'll need an eyebrow pencil to mark your guidelines with. Depending on how sensitive your skin is, you may also want to have some ice on hand.

First, wrap the ice in a cloth and hold it to the area you will be working with. This will numb your brow so that the process will be less painful. Make sure to hold the ice on the area for 30 seconds.

Next, use your eyebrow pencil to block in the desired shape for your brows. Make sure they are even, and then continue on to the next step, which is preparing the thread.

Tie the ends of your thread together to form a circle, using scissors to snip off any excess thread beyond the knot. Holding the knotted section of thread in one hand, pull the thread taught with the other. Twist the hand that isn't holding the knot five or six times, winding the thread around itself.

Practice this twisting motion until you feel comfortable. The section of thread in the middle that twists as you do this is what will remove the hair. Bring your hands up to position the thread over one eyebrow, and place the middle section of the thread so that the hair you want to remove is in the center.

Thread against the direction of hair growth. This means you should be moving the triangle formed by the thread in the opposite direction that your hair grows.

Close your hand around the thread, which should help it clamp down upon the hair, while opening your other hand. With the thread still touching your skin, quickly move in the opposite direction. This should remove the hair.
