If you want same fill or stroke color for your new object that you are drawing, by simply using the Eyedropper Tool you can sample the same color value. The color value automatically gets stored in the appropriate Ink Well tool in the Tools panel when you click the color value. All attributes of stroke like color, size and style can be sampled by choosing a stroke color. Unlike the Eyedropper Tool used from the Tools panel, you can sample a color from any source on your screen if it’s used from Swatches panel.
In Flash graphic design, the Eyedropper Tool is extremely useful to pick colors out of the scene which you will reuse. The scene becomes more appropriate in the case of custom gradients that you don't want to recreate or custom colors that you haven’t saved.
If you select the Eyedropper Tool of Flash and move over a fill, you will see a small brush appearing on the Eyedropper icon. When you click on it, gradient or the color will appear in the active Fill area. In the same way, when you move the Eyedropper tool over a stroked outline, you will see a small pencil appearing next to the icon. By clicking on it, you will find selected color appearing in the active Stroke area.
