Some women are just fortunate not to have to worry about having unsightly facial hair. While some have to go through great lengths to remove it. If you are one of these women, you will have to decide on how you would like to have it removed. Just imagine the frustration of women in the past when there ware very limited options. Fortunately, women these days have a lot of options when it comes to this.
If your problem is a mustache, steer clear of shaving if you're not going to be consistent with it! You have to repeat the process every few days to avoid the hair growing stubbly. If you want to remove part of your eyebrows, you can also go for shaving. Just don't forget to moisturize before and after.
Removal by laser - This procedure is suggested by more medical practitioners since the level of discomfort is not that intense as other methods. What it does is to destroy several hair follicles at a time by vaporizing the pigment in the hair follicles. Since it is administered by a professional, expect that it could be pricey. On top of that, there is no guarantee that the hair will not come back.
Electrolysis - This is also conducted by a licensed practitioner. You may want to consider your budget, as this process will require you to have it done repeatedly for a number of months to get rid of the hair. Please take note that it could also be painful because it makes use of fine needles that are inserted in the follicle to destroy the growth center.
Waxing - This is mostly used to get rid of hair on the arms and legs, but you can also consider this for removal of mustache and part of your eyebrows. Be extra careful though when waxing as it could sometimes cause burns and it normally requires you to heat the mixture and then apply it on the hairy area. In which case you can go for brands that do not require heating, or what they call the cold wax. Whichever you decide on you will have to apply the wax on top of the hairy area. The application comes with waxing strips. You have to put that on the area where you applied the wax. Once the wax has cooled off, peel off the strip very quickly, and along with it comes the hair. Don't make the mistake of thinking that if you slowly and gently remove the strip it will be less painful. Wrong! It makes it more excruciating. So if you have a low pain threshold, start with a small area to find out if you can endure the entire procedure.
Plucking - If you have a higher pain threshold and more time in your hands, opt for this DIY method although it could also be painful. An advantage though is that the hair doesn't grow back for a while.
Whatever you chose it's important to consider your resources, time and pain tolerance.
