Their repertoire ranges from familiar Stephen Foster songs to lively dances and newly rediscovered music of the nineteenth century. Take a Holiday at Sea Family Tour aboard the L.A. Dunton at 11 a.m. Hear stories of sailors, captains and their families that were at sea during the holidays and discover how they observed special days.At noon, visit the Abracadabra Magic Workshop on the third floor of the Stillman Building and learn magic tricks that will impress your friends and family. The magical fun continues with historical magician E.A. Davis' authentic 19th-century magic show at the Greenmanville Church. Performances are at 1 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Discover the winter sky with the Celebrations of Light Planetarium program at 12:30 and 2 p.m. Explore the Arctic in the Museum's newest exhibition, Frozen In: Captain Comer and the Hudson Bay Inuit, and then drop in to the Children's Museum anytime between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to make your very own Inuit keepsake! All activities - excluding the $2.50 planetarium show - are included in Museum admission.

Want to enjoy our annual Community Carol Sing and Mystic Seaport for free? Bring a canned good for a local charity. Last year, nearly 3,000 visitors donated almost 5,000 pounds of food. All food items are distributed by the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.Explore all of the Museum's historic ships and exhibits which open at 10 a.m. Listen to the holiday sounds of the Mystic Seaport carolers as they perform a special concert in the Greenmanville Church at 2 p.m. The day concludes with a joyous carol sing at 3 p.m., led once again by Jamie Spillane, the former Ledyard High School choral director who now travels from Iowa to lead this annual tradition. Additionally, the planetarium will present "The Star of Bethlehem," a show that explores the splendor of the winter skies, merging science, mythology, religious observance, winter traditions and music. Tickets for the planetarium program are $2.50 ($2.25 for Museum members). Showtimes are at 12, 1, and 2 p.m. and visitors are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to each program.
