ABI (Alcohol Behavior Information) has been licensed in the state of Colorado for over 30 years providing treatment to those referred to us by the courts for alcohol and/or drug offenses. ABI is a comprehensive instructional and motivational outpatient treatment program with emphasis on effecting change in negative behaviors and practices of those referred to our agency.

ABI has served our community providing information to schools and other organizations regarding the effects and dangers of drinking and driving, as well as the disruptions caused by the use of Alcohol and/or other drugs.

Our staff is highly qualified and our therapist are licensed by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies with years of experience in the substance abuse field. ABI respects the dignity of all our clients. The Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) is the clinical program of the Division of Substance Dependence, Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine. STAFF
Virginia G. Collins has worked in the substance abuse field for nineteen years from 1991 to present. She holds an Associate of Science in Business Administration. She obtained her Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor status in Texas in early 1999. In mid-1999 Virginia moved to Colorado and obtained her CACIII certification. Virginia has worked in various settings inclusive of halfway house for non-offenders, community corrections for male and female offenders, prison setting-therapeutic communities, community correction therapeutic communities-for offenders, inpatient-transitional treatment therapeutic communities for offenders, outpatient therapeutic communities for offenders. In addition, Virginia has worked with minors to meet their requirements for the minor in possession convictions.
Greg Puryear has a total of ten years experience working with Colorado Department of Corrections (male and female facilities) and the Colorado Department of Youth Corrections.
HISTORY
In 2006, Greg and Virginia opened Strides LLC to provide DUI and cognitive therapy treatment services for adults and minors. Since opening, over 800 clients have passed through their doors. Strides LLC welcomes the opportunity to work with parole, probation, and the self-referrals to better the chances for the offender/individual to complete the requirements set forth and improve on their decision making to lead a better life.
