3. Public Transportation to and From Greater Rochester International Airport

Public transportation is also available either to or from the Greater Rochester International Airport through bus, or train. Travelers wishing to have transportation through either Greyhound Bus Line, New York Trailways, or Amtrak train can find these services at the airport.

Both New York Trailways and Greyhound Bus Line have a terminal located at the Midtown Plaza in downtown Rochester. The Rochester Transportation Service offers a bus service with pick up directly at the airport on the lower level. Travelers wishing to use Greyhound services must take the Rochester Transportation Service to the Midtown Plaza for Greyhound services. Amtrak is also available from the Greater Rochester International Airport; however travelers will need to take taxi service from the airport to the Amtrak station.

4. Parking for Loading and Unloading Passengers Using the Greater Rochester International Airport

Parking for the purpose of loading and unloading passengers at the Greater Rochester International Airport is permitted however it should be noted that any vehicles left unattended on the terminal roadways are subject to ticketing and towing without warning. If you are dropping someone off or picking someone up from the airport, a thirty minute grace period is offered through the Short Term parking lot to provide you the convenience of free parking while you are loading or unloading passengers at the airport.

The Greater Rochester International Airport also offers a new cell phone lot that provides free temporary parking to drivers waiting for arriving travelers. This lot will allow you to wait until your traveler deplanes the aircraft and collect their luggage. Any vehicles in the cell phone lot must not be left unattended at any time. 5. General Parking at the Greater Rochester International Airport

General parking for travelers driving to the airport is available through Airport Valet, short-term parking, long-term parking, or weekly parking. The Greater Rochester International Airport offers a full service Airport Valet for drivers. Attendants are available to park your car and have it ready for you upon your return. To use this service, drop your keys and your vehicle at the Valet Station that is found on the upper level roadway. Upon return from your trip, you can pick up your vehicle on the lower level roadway outside baggage claim. The Airport Valet service uses credit card payment only with any major credit card being accepted at a rate of $20 for a service charge, and $12 daily parking rate. This service is staffed 24 hours daily, 7 days a week.

General parking on-site at the Greater Rochester International Airport is convenient and affordable. Short-term parking is available at an hourly rate with a daily maximum rate of $24.00. Long-term parking is also available and is noted as parking for more than 6 hours with a daily maximum rate of $12.00. Weekly rates are also available with a maximum of $10.50 rate daily and $50.00 maximum weekly rate.
