In addition to completing routine inspections required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), helicopter mechanics perform a number of significant functions. Some of these include:

What You Learn at Helicopter Mechanics School

There are approximately 200 aviation mechanic trade schools certified by the FAA in the United States. While enrolled at one of these institutions, you can expect to learn:
