Steps

  1. Ignore those who may bully you for being smart. Little do you know that they are actually jealous of the talent that you have.
  2. Find other smart kids your age to help you. Having smart friends pays off. They also are great friends for long times.
  3. Pay attention in class. actually try to hear what the teacher is saying.
  4. Study

If you don't study what you learned, you probably won't remember it in 3 weeks. Even if there isn't a test, studying helps.
  5. Finish your homework! A lot of kids get F's on homework and that doesn't help your grades.

  6. Try your best. Don't settle for the standard, go for the top. Working your best helps your brain to get into a habit of doing so.

  7. Talk with your teacher

and ask for help. They most likely can send you to an organization for help(Sylvan) or can even help you personally.
  8. Be organized

Have all of your homework, papers, stationary etc. Buy and accordion folder and label and organize your things.
  9. Turn in work on time, whether its minor, large, homework or class work, get it in on time.

Tips

  • If your friends are making fun of you or are avoiding you because your a "nerd" to them, then they aren't very good friends. Real friends help and push you forward, not try to bring you down or hurt your feelings.
