When it comes to your kitchen, does it need a update? Do you want new cabinets to give you more space? Need to refinish your cabinets or maybe just repaint them to save money, but give you the look you are wanting. You can do whatever you want to your cabinets in your kitchen or bathroom as long as you have the right tools.

If you are just going to repaint your cabinets then you will need a screw driver, drill, painters tape, paint, and new hardware. Use the screw driver or drill to remove the cabinets and hinges. Clean the cabinets off, tape off the area and start painting. You may need to prime before you put on that special color either way you are on your way to a new look. Once you have painted, put the cabinet doors back on and the new hardware. You now have some great looking cabinets without the cost of replacing them.

Now if you are going to take out the old cabinets and put new ones in then you will need. Measuring tape, level, Phillips and flat-head screwdrivers, wooden shims, stud sensor, drill with drill bits, 2″ x 4″ board, hole saw, decorative molding, hammer, finish nails, and safety glasses.

Once you have these things, you are ready to get started. Remove your old cabinets and fix any holes that may need to be fixed. If you are wanting to change the way your cabinets were set up, then you will need to measure the space and find the right set of cabinets that will best fit the space. Someone at your local home improvement store will be able to help you pick out your cabinets once you have the measurements.

When you get the cabinets it is time to install them. Make sure you are attaching the cabinets to sturdy studs in the wall. Check and double check your measurements and placement before you start hanging your cabinets. When you are sure that everything is perfect, you can put the new cabinets in place. You may need a extra pair of hands to help you hold up the cabinets and screw them in place. Make sure they are level and you are set.

Your kitchen or bathroom will have the new cabinets you wanted and a fresh space to work in. It is amazing what little home improvements can do to a home. It doesn't take long to get what you want done if you have the right tools, an extra pair of hands, and the know how. A little time and you could remodel your whole house.

You don't have to stop at your kitchen cabinets, do all the cabinets in your home. Add some to your garage for storing all your tools. The choices that you have are endless, do what will fit your home and lifestyle. You can change the look of your home without spending a ton of money, when you know what to do and how to do it.
