Steps

  1. Purchase a highlight kit from any local store such as Food Lion or Kerr Drug.
  2. You can use any hairline product that offers highlights, but I personally use L'Oreal Frost & Design Pull Through Cap Highlight Kit.
  3. Your hair has to be brushed with no knots and dry. Place cap on and tie in a bow around your chin.
  4. The cap will have holes all around it. Circles will be placed around every other hole and that is the one you pull your hair through.
  5. You do not have to pull your hair through the whole cap, it just depends on how much of your hair you want highlighted.
  6. Put more highlights in the front, usually around the bangs.
  7. After hair is pulled through cap make sure to brush through it. Mix your cream and powders then place onto your hair.
  8. Put a clear cap over your hair and let it sit for no more than twenty minutes. The longer it sits, the blonder your hair will be.
  9. Rinse your hair out with the cream that comes with the kit. Then wash the rest of your hair with your shampoo can conditioner.
  10. Blow dry and style your hair any way you want.
  11. Highlight your hair again between six and eight weeks later but only touching up your

Tips

  • Be sure to rinse all cream out of your hair.
  • Pick a kit that matches your hair. If your hair is dark brown, do not get a Blonde Kit. You may use a Red or Carmel Color.

Warnings

  • Do not leave on your hair longer than twenty minutes.
  • Do not redo in less than six weeks.
