Steps
- Assemble the items needed.
- Write a special Christmas message on a slip of paper.
- Add a small gift, along with the special Christmas message, in a paper tube. This will form the inside area of your cracker.
- Measure out a square of tissue or wrapping paper that is wide enough to cover the roll, leaving at least 4-5 inches of paper to spare at each end.
- Cover the toilet tube with the paper and glue it down.
- Cut lengths of ribbon or tinsel. Tie these around the paper at each end of the tube. Knot them and tie in a bow.
- Decorate the cracker. Add a dash of glitter glue, or stick on small images that you have cut from old Christmas cards.
- Place on the table ready for opening during a Christmas meal.
Tips
- Small trinkets can be found in dollar stores, toy stores, stationery stores and even small dispensing machines at the front of many stores.
Warnings
- Keep out of the reach of children under 3 to avoid swallowing hazards.
