Mothers know that purchasing baby food can be quite expensive. In addition to the expense, there is no assurance that the baby food you are getting does not contain added sugar and/or preservatives.

However, a simple and smart method can help mothers save on the purchase of baby food, and guarantee that the baby food does not contain additives. You can cook the peas in a pan on the stove with a little bit of water and on a medium temperature. Once the peas are fully cooked, they can be placed in a blender with just enough water to make for a smooth consistency (not too runny and not too thick). The blender setting selected will be "puree." (Most blenders have "puree" as a setting.) It's important to make sure that the food is pureed just enough to guarantee that there are no large chunks (making it difficult for the baby to swallow or perhaps even choke)....
