Great Ideas to Create a Holiday You Won't Forget

Sydney, Australia, is often mistaken by many foreigners as the capital of Australia; it's not. Sydney is well-known for many things such as the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, the 2000 Olympics, great food and great fun. If you have ever thought about taking a trip to Australia, then this guide is for you. There are so many action-packed activities for adventurous people that you will hardly have time to sleep. Check these activities out:

  1. Climb the Harbour Bridge. Bridgeclimb, the only company that takes climbing tours of the bridge, operates several different types of climbs daily and at varying times. You will be required to wear a grey jumpsuit-like piece of apparel so that when you climb, you blend into the bridge and don't offer a distraction to the thousands of motorists that use the bridge everyday. You ascend the 130+ meters above Sydney Harbour in an approximately 3-hour climb where at all times you are clipped to cables securing you safely to the bridge. From atop of the bridge, you have a breathtaking view across the harbour and the city of Sydney itself. Climbs start from $179 (AU) for adults and can be booked online via the Bridgeclimb site.
  2. Ride a jet boat through the harbour. There are several companies that offer a multitude of different options to take a jet boat ride through the harbour. The open-top jet boats hold an average of 20 people and most companies provide waterproof clothes because you will get wet. The boats power across the harbour at around 80km/h, under the bridge, past Circular Quay and the Opera House out to middle harbour by the ocean where the boat will complete stunts like 270 degree spins, wave riding and fishtailing. Some tours last longer and include a scenic component, but regardless of your tour, you will still cruise past the Opera House and the bridge. Jet boat rides start at $50 (AU) for an adult.
