  1. Evaluation. Before you decide on a career in accounting, evaluate what's important to you.Accounting can encompass a wide variety of jobs. If you desire an accounting career that allows you to travel, you may want to consider becoming an auditor. Auditorswork within a company foras long as two weeks to determine whether the company's accounting is accurate and responsible.
