When planning your wedding, the time of year will determine the seasonal theme of your wedding. A January wedding would be considered a winter wedding. A June or July nuptial would be a summer wedding. A spring wedding would take place in April or May and a September or October wedding would be considered a fall wedding.
Each wedding season allows for different color palettes and styles, so be sure to ask for help as you plan the wedding attire for you upcoming wedding. For example, you would not want pale summer colors and spaghetti strap gowns for a winter wedding, and you would not want high collars and deep dark burgundy's for a spring wedding. Take the time to plan out your colors scheme early, as it will continue from the wedding attire to your flowers to the colors in your reception hall.
One of the most popular weddings is a fall wedding. Choosing what to wear for a fall wedding is pretty simple. Take your colors from nature. Look at the falling leaves and the colors of the landscape around you. They are not quite as dark as they would be in the winter, but they are not pale green anymore either.
Many brides, when choosing their colors for a fall wedding, are stumped when it comes to what to do that is different. How about having your fall wedding at an old Inn or quaint old Church? Perhaps there is a farm or state park that would allow the use of their facility. Try to bring in as much of nature as you can.
Take lots of pictures outside against the backdrop of the falling leaves. Use Corn stalks and wheat to decorate along with fall flowers like mums and daisies. Your florist will be able to help you decide which arrangements are best for you. They will ask you what your wedding attire colors are, so be sure that you have chosen them first.
Serve a hearty fall menu at your wedding reception. A fall wedding can include game hen, quail, or Pheasant. Soups and stews will remind you of the chill coming soon too. A hot apple cider punch would go with your fall theme as well.
When choosing your bridal gown for your fall wedding, you can choose something that comes with a coverlet or jacket. The weather can be hard to judge in the fall, so having something that you can easily put on will make it wonderful no matter what the weather is. Your bridesmaids and ushers can coordinate together by having the men's cummerbunds match their dresses.
Knowing how to dress for your fall wedding is the key to pulling your color scheme together. Remember to take your cue from nature and you will not go wrong. A wedding is spectacular no matter the season!
