Are you one of those who are passionate about taking and printing pictures? If yes, then knowing how to print picture quality images might be very crucial to you. This is especially true if you are planning to display your pictures in an art exhibit or if you are about to join a competition. If you think that your pictures are already at their best quality then think again. Maybe there are more ways for you to improve the quality of your pictures.

Here are some ways on how to print quality images:

  1. High resolution equals better image quality. Resolution refers to the number of pixels in your image. Of course, if you want to print a high quality picture, then the picture that you want to be printed must also be in high quality.
  2. Maintaining your printer is important. Do not forget to perform a nozzle check, head cleaning and print head alignment on your printer whenever needed.
  3. Your ink matters. We all know that pictures are made up of colors, and without the proper colors your picture might become a disaster. To guarantee that you have quality ink, make sure to buy an OEM ink or an Original Equipment Manufacturer ink. Do not either forget to replace your ink when needed.
  4. Set the properties of your printer to deliver the best results. You can set the quality level of the image you want to print. It varies depending on what brand of printer you are using. In Epson, for example, you can choose from five quality options, namely: Draft, Text, Text & Image, and Photo up to Photo RPM. The Draft option delivers the lowest quality result, as it uses less ink among the five options. On the other hand, Photo RPM delivers the best results, as it uses more ink.
  5. Use photo paper instead of ordinary bond paper. If you want to get the best quality out of your picture, using an ordinary bond paper for printing pictures is not really recommended, because the ink smudges. Photo papers are a bit costly compared to ordinary ones, but upon seeing the quality of the pictures printed, you will see that it is worth the price.
  6. A dedicated photo printer might be a good choice. A photo printer will give better results than a regular inkjet printer. This kind of printer is really designed to print pictures. However, this might not be appropriate for everyone, as photo printers are more expensive.

There are several others ways to increase the quality of your picture. Some include knowing the best file type to use and color space to use. RGB and CYMK are examples of color spaces. Knowing more information regarding these would increase the quality of the pictures you wish to print.
