Cancel any deliveries that you receive on a regular basis, as well as your internet, phone, and electricity services. Make sure that you know your way around your new area, and confirm all important arrangements for the transportation of your cars and pets.
Two Days to Go
Make sure that your finances are in order for the coming week and get your motor vehicle inspected if you will be traveling a long distance. Pack the things that you will need in the immediate future—clothes, shoes, toiletry items, basic refreshments etc.—and make sure that they are clear of the items that the movers will collect. Moving Day

Keep all of your important items with you that you will need for the day; packing a small bag with your money, travel documents, and important personal items will keep you from thinking you have forgotten something.
You might even want to do some last minute cleaning to make your former house look presentable for its new occupants. Turn off the power, lock up tight, and keep your item inventory close by. If you can accomplish all of these things, then moving day, which is usually stressful, will be easier than you think.
