If you would like a fast-paced job that involves writing, then a career in journalism could be for you. Journalists cover a whole spectrum of topics. In general, they perform the research needed for their pieces and then present the information in an engaging format, usually on a tight deadline. TV journalists also do research for their pieces, and then film interviews and footage for their news segment.

If you are considering a career in journalism, you should have great oral and written communication skills, as well as a great work ethic and a lot of flexibility. Journalism schools also offer master’s degrees and PhDs, which could help boost your resume and increase your salary.
