How to Make a Lasting Appeal with your Color Brochures

Author: karen grahams

You must always aim for that lasting appeal in your color brochures. Never design your custom brochures just to give information. Your readers must be encouraged to understand your color brochures and they must be able to remember its message quite clearly. Being memorable is really the name of the game here since this is how you can influence them to take the appropriate action given the content of your custom brochures.

Making your brochures memorable though has a few major aspects to it. All in all, in my experience I usually aim to achieve five major aspects in brochure printing to make that lasting impression.

Make it personal – The initial aspect that you must understand is to make your brochures personal. Since you are basically only communicating with one person when it comes to brochures you have to make the “conversation” with them through the brochures as personal as possible. You must understand what your readers may want or need and deliver the information in how to get those needs through your brochures. You must know how they think and feel, their likes and dislikes. Add this kind of appeal for their personal needs in your brochure content so that people can relate to it readily. If they feel an instant personal connection with your brochures, you probably should have a lasting impression on that person.

Memorable images – Of course since people are very visual animals, your brochure cover must always have a very memorable image to make that lasting appeal. Images can directly communicate your message just by a glance and instantly people can realize the implications of that picture. They will know the dominant feeling and they may even empathize or get entertained with the images. If done particularly well by professional photographers, your images can mark on people's photographic memory making them remember your brochures for a very long time.

Catchy words – The brochure words and content can also be used to make that lasting impression. Using prevalent rhymes, catchy phrases and repeating words, can make your brochure content quite distinct and memorable. Like a song's chorus, the message can even play at the back of your reader's minds, involuntarily promoting your brochure message. It might get annoying to some, but this can be a good way to get the maximum exposure for your color brochures.

Lasting materials – Also, to make a lasting appeal, your brochures must equally have lasting materials for printing. People can sometimes forget where they put color brochures and sometimes these brochures can deteriorate and fade early if not taken care of. So it does pay to have tougher more durable materials for your color brochures so that lasting impression can really last physically.

Lingering presence – Finally, a lasting impression can be achieved if your brochures are present in the most possible places. You can make your brochures appear everywhere from brochure racks, counters, mails and other distribution mediums. By making them prevalent in a lot of locations, your readers will have probably no choice but to read them in one time or another. This strategy is really effective as it gives you the best chance of people remembering what your brochure is and where they found it.

By aiming for these five aspects in your brochure campaign, you will undoubtedly have a great impact on your readers. These are proven and effective strategies that can make a lasting impression whether your readers were initially interested in your information or not.
