Steps
- Mix the ingredients together to form a paste.
- Sprinkle the additional baking soda along the length of each baseboard. Use a damp sponge or nylon scrubber to clean the baseboard lightly.
- Use the paste to scrub at sticky, smudgy and dirty spots that the light cleaning has not cleared. Use the nylon scrubber to assist with this task.
- Allow to air-dry (or by the gentle heat of the baseboard).
- Remember to clean baseboards regularly. A good vacuum to remove fluff on a weekly basis is also recommended.
Tips
- Add 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil if you wish to scent the paste; the heat from the baseboard will scent the air for a few hours after cleaning.
Warnings
- Only use a damp cloth; do not use water around baseboards.
Things You'll Need
- Sponge
- Nylon scrubber
- Rubber gloves to protect your hands (optional - the paste is non-toxic but may be drying to the skin)
