The PCBackup Wizards are a step-by-step guide to help you create a backup set, perform a copy task, restore files and create disaster recovery discs. If at any time during the use of the Wizards you would like to go back to previous screens, simply click on the Back button. If you would like to cancel the Wizard and go to the main user interface, click on the Cancel button. Clicking Next will take you to the next screen once the options have been selected on the current screen. This screen is the introductory screen to the PCBackup Backup/Restore Wizard.

Backup
This feature allows you to back up all of the content of your C: drive, the files and folders in you’re my Documents directory, or select the files or folders you want to back up manually.

Disaster Recovery
Choose this option to make a Disaster Recovery Compliant Backup. This wull automatically select critical files for backup in addition to your own file selections.

To begin a restoration of your data that has previously been backed up, simply click on the “Restore” Wizard shortcut on the Home screen. On this screen, find all files from previous backups that you can restore your files or system from. You can specify whether you want to restore all of your data or specific folders/ files. When restoring, you can elect to overwrite existing data based on the following options:

Do not overwrite existing files: Restored file will never overwrite an existing file of the same name on the destination.

Overwrite existing files if they are older: Restored file will overwrite an existing file of the same name on the destination if the destination file is older.

Overwrite existing file: Restored file will always overwrite an existing file of the same name on the destination.
