The menu is filled with a number of different lunch and dinner dishes spanning from very traditional Italian meals in addition to more non-traditional ones. Along with these main courses, customers can also enjoy a range of soups, salads, appetizers and desserts. Appetizers include fried Calamari and Sicilian Scampi and soups range from a white and red bean soup called Pasta e Fagioli to Minestrone. Some of the more classic recipes include Eggplant Parmigiana, Fettuccine Alfredo, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Lasagna. More of the non-traditional dishes that are offered by Olive Garden include Grilled Chicken Spiedini, which is described as skewered chicken marinated in Italian herbs and extra-virgin olive oil. Also, the Grilled Shrimp Caprese is a meal that offers grilled marinated shrimp over angel hair pasta with melted mozzarella, fresh basic and tomatoes in a garlic-butter sauce. Customers can enjoy these meals along with a choice from the Olive Garden drink menu. Customers are given a wine menu that includes sparkling, red and white wines including names like Cavit Pinot Grigio, Asti by Martini & Rossi or Merlot by Ecco Domani,
If wine is not the selected drink of choice, Olive Garden diners can also browse through the specialty drinks menu. The Venetian Sunset is a special drink described as Martini & Rossi Asti with pineapple and cherry juices. Also, Smirnoff Citrus Vodka, an Italian vanilla liqueur called Tuaca, citrus fruit and Sprite are all mixed together to make the drink called the Sicilian Citrus Fresco. Furthermore, the bar provides a large line of imported, premium and specialty beers.
After a full and satisfying meal, classic Italian ice creams, pastries and cakes comprise the Olive Garden Dessert Menu. The Tiramisu is the most classic item within the menu with other options like a slice of White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Gelato, Torta di Chocolate and the seasonal favorite, Apple Pane Dolce.

General Mills opened its first Olive Garden restaurant on December 13, 1982 in Orlando, Florida and since then has expanded to over 600 locations in the United States and Canada. Olive Garden also organizes Pasta for Pennies, which is a national fundraiser program that works with school districts and collects extra change from students. All the money raised goes to Olive Garden’s partner in this program, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Furthermore, the class that raises the most money in their school will win a pasta party and have food delivered and served by their local Olive Garden. Since this establishment, Pasta for Pennies has raised more than $36 million to help patients of leukemia and lymphoma and their families.
