One of Pittsburgh International Airport's most popular features is the Airmall. The Airmall is an actual mall located within the airside terminal. Air traveler safety has always been the number one priority at Pittsburgh International Airport. Since the disasters of September 11th, 2001, safety and security measures have taken a dramatic turn for the better at the airport. The Alleghany County Airport Authority will continue to so their best to make traveling thru their city and airport as safe and easy as possible. Many new security features have been added to the airport. Unattended vehicles will be immediately towed if left in front of the terminal building. Unattended bags will be quickly checked over by airport law enforcement officers. Security checkpoints will only allow ticketed passengers to pass thru their gates.
