On Saturday, October 24, 2009, the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland (LASC) will host a legal clinic at the Fatima Family Center, 6600 Lexington Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103. Volunteer attorneys from Thompson Hine and the John Carroll Alumni Association will provide FREE legal advice and possible referrals for low-income individuals and their families concerning civil legal issues like divorce, disputes with landlords, predatory lending, public benefits, and bankruptcy. LASC does not handle criminal cases. Doors will open at 9:45 a.m. and the clinic ends at 12 noon. Since 1905, the LASC has provided high quality legal assistance to low income clients. The mission of LASC is to secure justice and resolve fundamental problems, for those who are low income and vulnerable, by providing high quality legal services and working for systemic solutions.
