Description:
No, we're not trying to start a church, but yes, we do hope AfterMass develops a cult-like following. A congregation of sorts, chock-full of local artists and performers and folks who appreciate watching local art and performance. Only instead of pews, we have nice black chairs. Instead of a sermon, we'll have an evening full of potentially awe-inspiring (or God-awful) performances. And instead of wine, we'll have beer. Good beer. Microbrewed beer, made by the Wynkoop Brewing Co., right upstairs. And yeah, there's wine too(un-transubstantiated). For the first time in over 20 years Impulse Theater is opening its stage. Improv, stand-up, acoustic music, poetry, video shorts, whatever you want to do. It's AfterMass, and all are welcome. Go ahead and tell Mom you're going to Mass. It'll make her feel good. 7PM (doors open at 6:30PM) - The 1st Sunday of every month (except December), 21+, bring your ID $5/person, cash-only (includes your first pint of one of Wynkoop's Famous Microbrews) $3 microbrews in the theater all night. FREE POOL upstairs after the show w/ticket stub. DISCLAIMER: AfterMass is NOT an Impulse Theater performance, but rather an open-stage variety show held AT Impulse Theater. Impulse Theater is NOT responsible for AfterMass content. While Impulse Theater's weekly improv performances promise not to introduce anything too gratuitously gross or offensive, AfterMass content is no way regulated however.
