Spax. A patented thread design on Spax Heavy Duty Screws features thread serrations that eliminate the need for pre-drilling wood, prevent splitting, offer improved tear-out resistance, and require less driving torque, which saves cordless tool battery life. USG. Using proprietary technology, ingredients added to Sheetrock Mold Tough gypsum panels during manufacture protect the boards from moisture and mold, inhibiting mold growth on the surface paper and in the gypsum core. The new Mold Tough material will replace the maker's Humitek gypsum panels and Sheetrock water-resistant "green board."
