Removing Hair Removal Wax From The Carpet Quincy IL

The safe, sane, non-toxic way to remove melted-in wax from carpeting is to freeze it, break it, and vacuum it up. Wax as soft as body wax is hard to freeze, so ice cubes won't do it. Use wart-freezing spray!

Steps

  1. Get the wart-freezing spray from your local drugstore.
  2. Plug in the vacuum so it's ready.
  3. Arrange the vacuum cleaner (hose end}, the spray, and the wire beater as close to the wax as possible.
  4. Use Cardboard to cover the entire stain and several feet of undamaged carpet in each direction. This will keep the flying wax bits from reattaching to other wax or undamaged areas.
  5. Working from one edge of the damage, uncover just about a palm-sized area (say 2 inches by 2 inches); leave everything else covered.
  6. Spray the uncovered wax, and as quickly as possible, beat it with the wire very hard to break it while it's still frozen, and vacuum it up.
  7. Cover the cleaned area, and uncover the next bit.

Tips

  • It may take several applications, but it's the safest way to clean; it will not remove your carpet.

Things You'll Need
