Most of the air conditioning ducts are damaged in the middle section although there are cases, in which air conditioning ducts are damaged while joining some sections. Damages can also be gained from loose ducts. This is not applicable for ductless units. If you noticed that you have a loosed air condition duct, press it onto the link.
  2. The next thing to do is to clean the area where the damage is found. You may do this by using paper towel or cloth.
  3. Using your brush, apply a sealant to the damage. Make sure that you use a water-based sealant to coat the damaged area. After the application, wait for five to ten minutes.
  4. If you noticed that the sealant application is already dried, cover it with a mastic tape. Ensure that you cover the completely coated area with the tape.
  5. Leave it for ten minutes. Test your air conditioner. Leaking air is a signal that you have to repeat the above-mentioned steps.
You may use any of the above tips. Remember that if you cannot handle the damages, the air conditioning technicians are only few calls away.
