A sales representative must be able to talk to people and show them that the product or service they are selling is the best one for them to buy. Convincing people they need something they do not is often a difficult skill to master, but it is a crucial one for a sales representative.

Dealing with people is difficult because a sales representative must be able to read a potential buyer. They might be found in a retail establishment, such as a clothing store or grocery store.
