The 2002 Chevy Venture follows a typical minivan formula: adequate V-6, easy-driving 4-speed automatic, somewhat unexciting exterior profile and enough seating for a Little League team.

GM's new 2.2-liter Ecotec DOHC 16-valve aluminum 4-cylinder engine (shared with other GM small cars including Saturn ION and VUE, and Pontiac Sunfire) is now standard in all Cavaliers.

2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Duramax

When the Silverado diesel clattered up the street I wasn't sure whether it was the test truck or Joe the UPS man. It was the pickup. The Isuzu-built 6.6-liter V8 is quieter and less smoky than previous diesels due to its direct injection technology, but it still exhibits plenty of "personality" that diesel diehards love—and some others don't.

2009 Chevrolet Colorado

For the first time ever, Chevrolet has seen fit to put a V-8 engine in a compact truck. Although offered in only the Extended and Crew Cab models, the 2009 Colorado (along with its nearly identical sibling, the GMC Canyon) is now available with a 5.3-liter V-8 engine producing 300 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque--bringing a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds and sub-seven-second 0-60 acceleration.

2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The Corvette is revered around the world as America's sports car. Over the generations Chevrolet has spawned some specialized models that added to the already potent performance-car's cachet. The Corvette Z06 is that model, with a 7.0-liter, 7100-rpm-redline V-8 dumping a thunderous 505 horses on its aptly named Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. But apparently that wasn't enough for the boys at GM.

2009 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid

To properly review the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid, TheCarConnection.com editors drove the Hybrid, along with other greener vehicle choices. These impressions are presented alongside review excerpts that, together, TheCarConnection.com hopes will help you make a better decision.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro

In case you've been living outside of the automotive mainstream since 2006 (when the Camaro concept was first shown), the all-new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is a boldly styled two-door coupe. Traditionalists call the Camaro a Pony Car, thusly named after the 1964 Ford Mustang, the car that created this uniquely American class of vehicles.

Baseball, Apple Pie and Chevrolet

Chevrolet Tahoe - 2007 Review: Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet, They Go Together in the Good 'Ole USA.

Car Brief: Chevrolet Camaro Concept

The Chevrolet Camaro, stowed in the back of the closet since '02, has a green light for a Detroit concept debut next month, and industry experts are wagging tongues and rolling eyes over what it all means.

Chevrolet Avalanche

The 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche shares its interior with the Chevy Silverado pickup and Tahoe SUV, and the experts at TheCarConnection.com like these trucks. Their comfort and controls are first-rate and simple to use. If you haven't been in this newest generation of GM light-duty truck, you owe it a look.

Chevrolet Avalanche

The ride and handling of the current Avalanche is remarkable and a big improvement over the pre-2007 models. It benefitted from a new front suspension and rack-and-pinion steering, which transformed directional stability and responsiveness.

Chevrolet Avalanche

The Avalanche offers an 8,000-pound towing capacity, making it an excellent choice for towing an enclosed car trailer or a fairly big boat. It's as long as a Chevy Suburban and can haul a lot of stuff, with payloads over 1,300 pounds and a bed designed for abuse.

Chevrolet Avalanche

Hey, want to see a trick? If you think your friends will say yes, then you might want a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. From its debut as a 2002 model, the Avalanche has been defined by its unique Midgate and the one trick it performs.

Chevrolet Avalanche

Combining elements of a pickup and an SUV, the Chevrolet Avalanche ranked among the top three large pickups in the 2007 APEAL study, which measures owners' delight with their vehicle's performance and design. Essentially an offshoot of Chevrolet's big Suburban SUV, the Avalanche adds a folding midgate and a small cargo bed, making it equivalent to a crew cab pickup.

Chevrolet Avalanche LT

The Avalanche would be just another four-door pickup if it weren't for the folding partition that separates the passenger compartment from the cargo bed. So, although the news for 2007 is that it's now underpinned by GM's new GMT900 full-size-truck platform, the stuff that makes it an Avalanche remains.

Chevrolet Aveo

The Aveo interior is better than you might expect for such a low-cost car. Revised gray fabrics and a new Charcoal/Titanium color scheme dress things up nicely. The seats offer a solid fit and are quite comfortable, with high-density foam under the LT's tweedy deluxe cloth.

Chevrolet Aveo

The 2008 Chevrolet Aveo is Chevy's cheapest model and one of the cheapest in the U.S. market, made by GM Daewoo in South Korea. The Aveo sedan was new for 2007; its bodywork and interior are different from the Aveo5 hatchback, which follows a more dated design.

Chevrolet Aveo

The Chevy Aveo is about the same length as the Toyota Yaris, almost a foot shorter than the Honda Fit. The re-styling for 2008 gave the Aveo a more aerodynamic shape, one of the benefits of which has been to reduce wind noise at highway speeds.

Chevrolet Aveo

The 2008 Chevrolet Aveo sedan and Aveo5 hatchback are carryover from 2007, with few changes. LS models get optional 15-inch aluminum wheels and chrome door handles in 2008, and both the Aveo and Aveo5 have a new tire-pressure monitor.

Chevrolet Aveo

The Chevrolet Aveo is front-wheel drive, and like many front-wheel-drive cars it feels nose heavy, which means a slight pause when the driver turns the wheel and asks it to make a big change in direction. The hesitancy isn't unusual nor is it threatening.

Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Concept

Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Concept Preview - 2007 Detroit Auto Show: General Motors took the wraps off the new Chevrolet Camaro concept during last year's Detroit Auto Show and the response was clear: Build it.

Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Concept First Drive

Chevrolet Camaro Retrospective

Arriving four years late to the pony car party, the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro was rushed into production after Ford's stunning success with the original Mustang.

Chevrolet Camaro’s Four Generations

The world has come to know four generations of the Chevrolet Camaro and each of these generations were distinct and unique from the rest. At first, this vehicle was actually made known to the public in the United States and the rest of North America in the early part of 1967.

Chevrolet Cobalt

With its expressive styling and general all-around competence, the Chevrolet Cobalt competes effectively against the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Ford Focus, an impressive achievement, considering how long the competition has dominated this game.

Chevrolet Cobalt

The Cobalt is Chevrolet's family of compact coupes and sedans, and it returns for 2009 with only minimal changes. Last year, the big news was the expansion of the high-performance SS to the sedan body style, rather than just the coupe, and mid-year, new more fuel-efficient XFE models joined the lineup.

Chevrolet Cobalt

The Chevy Cobalt is built on GM's Delta platform, which it shares with the domestic Saturn Astra and European-market Opel Astra. But with its single-bar grille and bowtie emblem, Cobalt looks like a proper Chevrolet small car right down to its shoes and socks.

Chevrolet Cobalt Introduction

With its expressive styling and all-around competence, the Chevrolet Cobalt competes effectively against the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Ford Focus. That's an impressive achievement, considering how long the competition has dominated this game.

Chevrolet Cobalt LS XFE

At first glance, the Chevrolet Cobalt appears to be suffering from neglect. Its generic, character-free interior and exterior design were already a step behind the competition when the car launched in 2005, and little has changed in the intervening years. Now that the Cobalt is riding out its final years before its replacement, the Cruze, arrives in 2010 as a 2011 model, that’s sort of a moot point; we wouldn’t expect Chevy to invest heavily in its lame-duck compact, after all.

Chevrolet Cobalt Review

A new high-performance 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS model is the big news for the Cobalt, Chevrolet's family of front-wheel-drive compact sedans and coupes. Other Cobalt models return for 2008 with only minimal changes.

Chevrolet Cobalt SS

On first inspection, the 2008 Cobalt SS appears unchanged from its predecessor. Closer examination reveals a mild body kit, 18 x 7½ forged wheels shod with 225/40ZR-18 Continental ContiSportContact 2 tires and Brembo brakes. Up front, 4-piston fixed calipers wrap around 12.4-in. rotors while 11.5-in. rear rotors are vented for heat dissipation.

Chevrolet Cobalt SS

The Cobalt SS may be the most underrated car in the world. We're about to set it free of that title. It's no secret GM engineers spent a lot of time tearing around racetracks in the Cobalt SS, fine-tuning the car's FE5 suspension.

Chevrolet Cobalt SS Coupe Preview

New for 2008, the turbocharged 2008 Cobalt SS Coupe replaces the supercharged 2007 Cobalt SS Coupe as the performance leader in Chevrolet's Cobalt lineup. Developed by the GM Performance Division (GMPD), the Cobalt SS is a compact coupe highly upgraded with powertrain and chassis enhancements similar to those found on Chevrolet's performance-oriented HHR SS.

Chevrolet Colorado

Chevrolet appears to have struck the right balance between capability and comfort for its midsize pickup. Colorado rides like a truck, but it isn't nasty about it. By aiming for a more modest towing capacity, GM engineers were able to reduce the rear spring rate and tune the suspension for a smooth ride。

Chevrolet Colorado

There are plenty of good reasons to own a compact pickup truck like a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. For tradesmen needing better fuel economy, there's nothing to substitute for a vehicle with a bed.

Chevrolet Colorado

Colorado looks like a downsized and slightly Picasso-ized rendition of the full-size Silverado, beginning with its bold chrome horizontal-bar grille and multi-lens headlamps. The lamp assembly has a flying wedge contour, higher at the outside, and houses high and low beams, daytime running lamps and turn signals. On models so equipped, fog lamps are inset into the bumper.

Chevrolet Colorado Driving Impressions

Chevy Truck appears to have struck the right balance between capability and comfort for its midsize pickup. Colorado rides like a truck, but it isn't nasty about it. By aiming for a more modest towing capacity, GM engineers were able to reduce the rear spring rate and tune the suspension for a smooth ride.

Chevrolet Colorado Introduction

Chevy Colorado was designed for comfort and favors roominess, ride comfort and fuel efficiency over traditional truck virtues such as payload and towing capacity. That's a strong selling point because mid-size trucks are often bought as alternatives to cars, and their owners want more hip room, leg room and head room. Most are willing to sacrifice bed length for cab room.

Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Performance

With the 1,570-pound rig, the Colorado Z71 took a reasonable 12.1 seconds to reach 60 mph, but it needed 14.4 seconds to complete a third-gear passing maneuver. Those who want to buy their own Colorado Z71 may want to read on and find more.

Chevrolet Corvette

There are still but two engines available in the Corvette, both displacing 350 cubic inches. Base (L48) engines get the L82 low-restriction intake and exhaust systems, a change that raises their output to 195 horsepower.

Chevrolet Corvette

Cars come and cars go. We wish some never came, and there are a whole bunch we lament ever left. But two cars that just won't go away — and we're thrilled about this — are the Chevrolet Corvette and Porsche 911.

Chevrolet Corvette

The C6 (or sixth-generation) Corvette is now in its fourth year of production. The 2008 Chevrolet Corvettes look the same as the 2007s, in spite of their bigger engines.

Chevrolet Corvette

Sports-car buyers have to choose a Corvette, a foreign car, or nothing, and enough of them opt for the Corvette every year to keep the one assembly plant running at full speed. Of course this tidy little monopoly — what else could you call the business of making America's only sport car? — takes some of the urgency out of designing new Corvettes.

Chevrolet Corvette

The much-anticipated 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is big news for fans of the Corvette, Chevy's legendary flagship sportscar. TheCarConnection.com has driven the ZR1 on the road and track and finds it a truly impressive sports car--no reservations, no qualifications.

Chevrolet Corvette

The Corvette is the great American sports car. It's thrilling to drive, with breathtaking acceleration performance and excellent grip for hard braking and high-speed cornering.

Chevrolet Corvette

Everything is relative. This year's refreshment of the Chevrolet Corvette sees the 'small-block' V8 grow to a very un-small 6.2 litres, resulting in 430bhp and 424lb ft (up from the old 6-litre car's 404bhp and 403lb ft).

Chevrolet Corvette

Driving a Corvette should be an emotional experience, and the standard coupe and convertible deliver in spades. The 400-horspower LS2 V8 rumbles wonderfully, and the Vette intoxicates with its acceleration. With either the manual or automatic transmission, the coupe thrills. And the convertible is plain wonderful.

Chevrolet Corvette Review

Today, more than ever, speed comes easy. Evidence: The 2008 Chevrolet Corvette. Fittingly, it's the first place GM chose to put its new 430-horsepower V-8. Together, the new engine and the Gen VI Chevy Corvette make a total speed package capable of an honest and repeatable 190 mph.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

In terms of best bang for the buck, the Chevrolet Corvette has long been the king of the hill. And with the high-performance Z06, it ruled the valleys, shores and flatlands as well.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Used to be the Dodge Viper SRT10 was the only U.S.-built production sports car boasting 500 horses under the hood and a sticker price below $100,000. For as long as it's been around, the Viper has epitomized raw, powerful, big-displacement American muscle.

Chevrolet Cruze

Is new saloon the car that can finally help brand crack the tough UK market? The future starts here, says Chevrolet. This car will herald an all-new range of exciting and modern family models from the General Motors-owned brand.

Chevrolet Equinox

The 2008 Chevy Equinox offers improved ride and handling over last year's model, benefits of revised chassis settings. OnStar has been added as standard equipment. And an anti-trailer sway function has been incorporated into the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system for more secure towing.

Chevrolet Equinox

The Equinox cabin is a clean and functional design. That said, some of the materials and control interfaces we found inside last year's Equinox seemed to us less than bright. Chevrolet has addressed some of our concerns for '07 with a new instrument cluster, center stack, shift knob, steering wheel, and heater and ventilation (HVAC) controls.

Chevrolet Equinox

On sale since 2004, the Chevrolet Equinox wears a compact-SUV price but offers more interior space and is a bit larger on the outside than other vehicles at a similar price point. As such, the Equinox seemingly straddles the compact-SUV segment and the mid-size-crossover segment.

Chevrolet Equinox

Chevy Equinox is a five-passenger vehicle that competes with the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4 compact SUVs. However, Equinox is bigger and roomier than any of these competitors. The Equinox offers acres of legroom for tall rear-seat passengers with the seat moved rearward, loads of cargo space with the seat moved forward.

Chevrolet Equinox

The compact crossover Equinox shares platforms and certain components with the Pontiac Torrent. For 2008, it gets minor updates and a new version, the Equinox Sport. It's an aging crossover but still has lots of interior room, great safety, and with a new powertrain, good acceleration.

Chevrolet Equinox

The aging 2009 Chevy Equinox shares its platform with the Pontiac Torrent, both of which offer a spacious interior and excellent safety ratings.

Chevrolet Equinox Introduction

The Chevrolet Equinox may not represent the return of the sun, either, but it should be considerably brighter for '07, thanks to a bounty of improvements that really are worth celebrating. Four-wheel disc brakes, a tire pressure monitor, StabiliTrak and rollover monitoring have all become standard.

Chevrolet Express

TheCarConnection.com's editors read the latest reviews on the new 2008 Chevrolet Express to write this comprehensive review. Experts from TheCarConnection.com also drove some versions of the Chevy Express.

Chevrolet HHR

If there's ever been a case of a picture of a so-called SUV being worth a thousand words, the HHR should be it. It looks like a 1949 panel delivery truck, with the edges smoothed over. Today we call such fenders flared, and they are sculpted for effect; back in those days, they were designed to be functional rather than for an edgy look.

Chevrolet HHR

We like the retrospective styling treatment served up by the HHR across the model range. The closest comparison to the Chevy HHR is the Chrysler PT Cruiser. They don't look anything alike, but both are four-cylinder wagons on the retro side of the design equation.

Chevrolet HHR

The 2.4-liter Ecotec is a wonderful little engine. It's an aluminum four-cylinder, with 16 valves, electronic fuel injection and variable valve timing. It makes 172 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque at 5000 rpm, numbers which don't indicate anything special. In fact, that torque peak suggests that the low-rpm pulling power might be weak.

Chevrolet HHR

The 2009 Chevrolet HHR (the name stands for "Heritage High Roof") shares its basic architecture with the Chevy Cobalt (available in coupe and sedan body styles). Despite the HHR's inauspicious foundation, this tall-roofed crossover is a well-orchestrated machine that provides cargo-carrying utility and spirited performance.

Chevrolet HHR Driving Impressions

The Chevy HHR's 2.4-liter Ecotec is a wonderful little engine, and it has a slight boost in horsepower. It's an aluminum four-cylinder, with 16 valves, electronic fuel injection and variable valve timing.

Chevrolet HHR Introduction

The Chevy HHR is a handy wagon that celebrates a heritage that dates to the 1949 GMC Suburban panel delivery truck. HHR stands for Heritage High Roof, and the roof of the HHR is high. The Chevy HHR is built on a smaller scale, but there are no bones about its retro styling. Its retro look is best exemplified in the HHR Panel Van.

Chevrolet HHR Review

In base form, the 2008 Chevrolet HHR gets a 149-horsepower 2.2-liter inline-four engine, with a 2.4-liter version that nets 172 horses available on higher trim levels. Either of these rate only moderate in performance and in noise control.

Chevrolet HHR SS

After the Chrysler PT Cruiser's initial sales success, General Motors decided it needed a similar vehicle in its lineup. GM hired the designer that penned the original PT Cruiser and turned him loose on the Chevrolet HHR, or Heritage High Roof.

Chevrolet Impala

The Chevrolet Impala features a new generation of V6 engines. We found them to be smooth and quiet if not bristling with power. They feature variable valve timing, which changes the orientation of the camshaft automatically, adjusting the timing of the intake and exhaust valves for better performance, economy, and emissions.

Chevrolet Impala

The Chevrolet Impala is a comfortable and convenient car, practical and enjoyable to drive. We find its neat, clean lines pleasing to the eye. Its styling looks fresh and it is.
