2005 Honda S2000 Review

Honda S2000 -- 2005 Review: Screaming around "the horseshoe" at the Streets of Willow Springs road course in the summer of 2000, giggling hysterically with the roadster's tail hung out, the engine wailing at ungodly rpm, and a hot ingot of aluminum gear shifter in my right hand, I fell in love with the Honda S2000.

2006 Honda Civic Coupe First Drive

2007 Honda CR-V

To make the 2007 CR-V tighter and more solid with a more sedan-like feel, they stiffened its structure, lowered its center of gravity—mostly by lowering its powertrain and relocating the spare tire to under the body—and redesigned its (MacPherson strut front, multi-link rear) suspensions.

2009 Honda S2000 Performance

TIt's been a decade since Honda launched the S2000, and its styling can no longer hide the car's age. However, the roadster gets a respectable 18/25-mpg fuel economy, and the 237-horsepower, 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine's performance is stunning. Read on to learn more about the 2009 Honda S2000.

Honda 2010 Insight

The 2010 Insight looks strikingly similar to Prius, though the former is a compact, the latter a midsize. There's the same sharply sloped hood and split-glass hatchlid to reduce aerodynamic drag. Insight sports the front end of its hydrogen-fuel-cell sibling, the FCX Clarity.

Honda Accord

The 2008 Honda Accord is an easy drive with good manners regardless of model, engine or transmission. It comes across as firmer than most Camry models but smoother and softer than the Altima.

Honda Accord

Honda Civic

The Japanese firm has now made its smallest i-VTEC unit available with a manual gearbox – until now, the i-SHIFT CVT was the only choice in five-door guise. However, nothing about the 1.4-litre Civic suggests it's an entry-level model.

Honda Civic

As good a job as Honda has done in designing four distinct models of the new, 2006 Civic, it's done an even better job of delivering four, distinct driving experiences. Careful tweaking of the electronics managing the 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine's variable valve timing pumped up the horsepower from 127 to 140 and torque from 114 pound-feet to 128.

Honda Civic

The Honda Civic sedans and coupes don't share any body panels. Details and markings distinguish each trim level.A bright horizontal bar, with a prominent Honda H in the middle, dominates the sedan's grille. Slender headlamp assemblies angle upwards as they curve around the fenders.

Honda Civic Performance

When upgrading your Honda Civic, there are three basic things you can do to gain performance, style, and looks. Read the following article for how-to tips on personalizing your car.

Honda Civic SI Sedan

It's no secret that Honda loves relatively small-displacement, insanely high-revving engines, and it's the Civic Si's K20Z3 powerplant that remains both its best and worst feature. Drive it like you hate it, keeping the 197-bhp 2.0-liter on its aggressive set of cam lobes above the 6000-rpm VTEC transition point, and it's tingly mechanical nirvana on up to the cut-off at 8300.

Honda Civic Type R

Honda Civic Type R's body-coloured wheelarch extensions, mesh grille and smart 18-inch alloys are all good additions. With the full rev range available, the Type R comes alive, and while it doesn’t have the power of our long-term VW Golf GTI Edition 30, its frenetic delivery and raw pace more than match those of rivals.

Honda Civic Type-R

True to form for a company famed for its engineering prowess, Honda can't sit still. No sooner had it launched the eagerly anticipated Type-R version of its latest Civic than engineers were commissioned to start working on possible improvements.

Honda Civic- Introduction

It's hard to find a more competitive new car market than the compact class. And it's more than just price, as the number of entries has skyrocketed in recent years.

Honda CR-V

Comparing cargo space, the new CR-V ranks in the top half, regardless of the competitor's seating capacity. It also features one of the nicest cargo compartments, flat and without the holes.

Honda CR-V

Head on, the Honda CR-V's low, jutting jaw-like front bumper suggests a rugged skid plate while pulling the vehicle's visual mass downwards, reducing its perceived height. Large, sharply angled headlight housings crowd the upper grille and bleed down into the lower air intake.

Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V has enough power to merge into fast-moving traffic without worries. Its four-cylinder engine generates 156 horsepower and 160 pound-feet of torque. (Those figures are lower than last year's ratings due to changes in the testing procedure used by the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Honda Element

The increase in power for the models is welcome. While it has one of the stronger four-cylinders available, the Element is much heaver than the typical small sedan. There's plenty of power for the daily grind.

Honda FCX Clarity

At the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show, Honda introduced the production version, called the FCX Clarity, and announced that it would be available for lease to customers in select areas of Southern California starting in the summer of 2008.

Honda Fit

The Fit is fun to drive. For everyday driving it's an obedient and comfortable conveyance, thanks to new seats and suspension changes that smoothed out the previous model's ride.

Honda Fit

The Honda Fit offers a compelling balance of economy, fun, interior convenience and comfort. It offers engineering excellence and value. From a healthy list of standard safety equipment to multiple seat configurations and ample storage room, the Fit simplifies your life. Drawbacks include a noisy and thrashy ride, slightly numb steering and a small (split) glovebox.

Brian Chee filed this report to NewCarTestDrive.com after his test drive of the Honda Fit models in Southern California.

Honda FR-V

Having used the FR-V to ferry six blokes to a Six Nations rugby international at Twickenham, I can vouch for its carrying capacity. With everyone sat in two rows, load space was unimpeded, so there was room for coats and no need to squash anyone into a flimsy boot seat.

Honda Insight

the Insight is comfy and cozy. The bucket seats are quite comfortable, although a large person might find them a bit small as they hug one's body quite nicely. All but the tallest people will find plenty of room in the cockpit.

Honda Insight Preview

Honda will sell the least expensive hybrid on the market when the 2010 Insight goes on sale this April. Fuel economy is rated 40 mpg city and 43 mpg highway and the Insight has a 400-mile driving range.

Honda New Diesel

The engine is a relatively compact 4-cylinder at 2.2 liters, but it's expected to produce around 150 hp, and the torque which is what you feel when you take off from a stop should be more than 250 lb.-ft. Fuel economy should be in the range now achieved by Honda's hybrid Civic.

Honda Odyssey

Honda's goal with Odyssey was producing a minivan with the handling of a European sedan, and it hasn't missed the mark by much. Underway, the Odyssey delivers everything you could ask for in a minivan: a smooth ride, responsive handling, stability at speed and a smooth, powerful engine.

Honda Odyssey

Honda's 3.5-liter V6 engine is smooth, powerful, clean and fuel efficient. The iVTEC V6 (intelligent Variable Timing and Electronic Control) that comes in the EX-L and Touring models gets an EPA-rated 19/26 mpg City/Highway.

Honda Pilot

While the name and a minute number of parts remain the same, the 2009 Honda Pilot is a new vehicle. Every piece of sheetmetal and glass, every mechanical component, and every feature has been gone through yielding a just slightly larger Pilot that put all the space to use inside.

Honda Pilot Prototype

Due in spring, the 2009 Pilot will use a modified version of the Acura MDX platform. It will continue to seat 8 with front captain's chairs and 60/40-split folding second- and third-row seats. Dimensions haven't been released, but Honda says passenger room will be improved in every seating position.

Honda Ridgeline

The mid-size Honda Ridgeline vies for the title of most innovative pickup. Honda's best attributes are here in a pickup truck: refinement, fit-and-finish and innovation the Honda way.

Honda Ridgeline

The Honda Ridgeline's uniqueness starts with its appearance. With pickups, you need a cab and a cargo box, so form to a considerable extent follows function. Yet Ridgeline doesn't look quite like any pickup before it, whether it's from America or Japan.

Honda Sets Accord Hybrid Pricing

American Honda Motor Company today set the manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) for the new 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid at $29,990, establishing a premium of about $3,000 for technology designed to conserve more fuel and boost performance, compared to a like-equipped non-hybrid Accord.
