Organize

Sort through stacks of paper and separate according to category: bills, reading material and junk mail.

Designate

Go through the pile of junk mail, and separate the "safe" from the "sensitive." Sensitive trash includes anything containing your name, address, phone number or any other personal information; shred these before recycling. Tip: Most cities now have either drop-off locations or pick-up services for recycling paper.
