CHAPTER 6 became the premier jazz a cappella ensemble at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, before winning their first competition in 2000. They are the only vocal ensemble to win both The International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella (2001) and The National Harmony Sweepstakes (2004). Their six-minute version of The Wizard of Oz earned a Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award in 2005, when they also won APCA's collegiate "Entertainer of the Year" award. They were featured on American Idol: Season 7, and in February 2008 they appeared with The National Symphony Orchestra at The Kennedy Center. Their family-friendly performance features a blend of pop/jazz harmonies and tongue-in-cheek lyrics that are sure to please. http://www.chapter6.com NATURALLY 7, an all male "Vocal Play Band," closes the show. Formed in New York City in 1999 by Roger Thomas with his brother Warren and five singers they knew from singing around the city, they won the National Harmony Sweepstakes after less than two years of performing together. In 2000, they released their first independent recording, Non-fiction. In 2003 came the first major label recording, What Is It which was distributed in Europe and Japan. Their single, Music Is The Key, went to #1 on the European Billboard charts. They have shared the stage with Lauren Hill, Aretha Franklin, Lionel Richie, and Al Jarreau. In 2007 they released Ready II Fly throughout Europe, Asia and Africa, and the first single Feel It (In the Air Tonight), landed at #1. What makes NATURALLY 7 special is that every instrument sound they sing is created from their voices. They've sung on the Showtime program Wasteland, appeared on Ellen, opened for Michael Bubl on his 2007-08 tour, and now you can see them at Stocker! http://www.n7house See both great groups for one low price!

An opera in four acts by Jules Massenet, with a libretto by Henri Cain after Charles Perrault's fairy tale. The story of Cinderella has taken many forms, from 16th-century fairy tale to 20th-century film. Massenet's 19th-century operatic version, Cendrillon, was a hit from the moment it premiered in Paris, and it has been enchanting audiences ever since with its timeless romance. The familiar characters-evil stepmother, charming prince, fairy godmother, and maid-turned-princess-come to life in the love duets, coloratura flourishes, and grand waltzes of Massenet's ravishing score. Thursday, November 20 * doors 7:00 PM Tickets: $18 in advance Ages: All On sale Friday, August 22 @ 10:00 AM With Peaceblaster, STS9's first studio album since 2005's Artifact, the quintet moves into its second decade with a group mind and vision handcrafted by a strong band of individuals. Whereas past efforts included vast sonic explorations, which pushed and challenged the listener, their latest release is a far closer approximation of the union between their exhilarating live performances and the art of songcraft. Indeed, the 15-song album is a consistently-engaging work which pulls the listener into its swirling web of intrigue without ever losing sight of what made the group initially so unique when they hit the music scene in the late 1990s-energetic and exciting music for heads, tweakers, dancers, ravers, and rockers alike.
