These advanced sounds have worked to help the genre evolve in general.

In 1988, the term techno began to be formally used to describe the genre of music that was created when synthesized music was created. When this genre was finally defined, it began to be used to label works of art that dated back as far as 1977. However, it is still the three men from Detroit who are given the credit of creating the music and designing it to be enjoyed by the masses. The genre was and still is pushed forward by different types of people from different races. However, most of mainstream America is not aware of the fact that many of the songs are promoted by black musicians. There are more similarities between the fundamentals of jazz and blues and techno music than many people are aware. These are some of the more current techno producers and there are many from the past that are still used as well, since techno music is fairly timeless.
